Embracing The Gift

Amazing it was
To befriend you today
The friendship is so fantastic
Let it be the same
Tomorrow and for ages
Waiting for an update
Waiting for a comment
Waiting for a like
Waiting for a chat
Endless waiting
So far yet crazy
As in the naive present
The valuable friendship
It is all I care
Because that's my present
Embracing the friendship
That is all I ever look/wake up to
Ever in my life
Truly madly and deeply
I've embraced the gift
Of your presence today
In this lovely friendship

hey, Bri Edwards, english is my second language, so i'd love going through any suggestions, secondly, there's no one on poemhunter with whom you think all written above is relative, thirdly, i will think about your corrective and additional comments on this poem. thank u! have a great writing... are you speaking of communication with poemhunter members or some individual with whom you have a close (love?) relationship?
i would rewrite It is all I care as It is all I care about. though i grew up with English, my english is NOT perfect in the classroom sense. i try to overlook misspellings and such in poems i see on this site, unless i feel the poet would like to hear my comments about their english. from your bio i gather that you may welcome a suggestion about your english usage. if i could figure out how to give this poem a user rating i would give it an 8. someone apparently gave it a 1. maybe that person meant 10? Black is the beauty of the brightest day,
The golden belle of heaven's eternal fire,
That danced with glory on the silver waves,
Now wants the fuel that inflamed his beams:
