Embracing A Stranger Poem by Timothy muggaga

Embracing A Stranger

He travels at night,
And slumbers at noon
But he swiftly comes in
Not to leave
But with a promise of staying forever

The stranger is at the door
Take him on, make him your own
For, he is here to stay.
Carry him on, nurse his wounds:
Because soon his wounds will be your own

Embrace the stranger
For good or for bad!
Take him to the ball room and dance
Drag him to the funeral and mourn
But take the stranger for good or bad

The stranger is you.
Your life is yours
And the stranger he might be,
Carry him on, make him your own.
