Embargo All Over Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Embargo All Over

No we were not cowards
We wanted no reward s
Only wished peaceful living
Comforts, little easiness like things

We were cleared of our land
Overnight, foes took over as friends
Brought mercenary from abroad
Forcefully imposed and settled

Many of us were killed
Some were jailed
Some were forced to flee
Who remained behind were not free

Embargo all over
No homes and shelter
Sky too showered bullets
The world made its intention let

Since then thousands have perished
The story is not yet finished
Daily we hear mourning cry
We stare at sky
