Elusia Poem by Mark Nichols

Elusia

I've searched everywhere
For my beautiful Elusia
But the woman that I see
She is running on the treetops
She says come to the sky
And I try and try to fly
I can't do it
I can't fly
She is gone

I've searched everywhere
For my beautiful Elusia
But the woman that I see
She is floating out to sea
She says, 'Come to me, Jim! '
And I try and try to swim
I can't do it
I can't swim
She is gone

I've searched everywhere
For my beautiful Elusia
But the woman
That I see
She says, 'To be, or not to be? '
And that is the question...
What was the question?
I can't fly
I can't swim
I still live
She is gone
