Eluding Death's Dark Light Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Eluding Death's Dark Light

Locomotives traveling through evening skies, holding
close to the tracks beneath their iron wheels.
Moving over mountains and through valleys, eluding
death's sight, hoping not to be caught in it's vacant
stare.
Helplessly traveling, hiding in the rhythms flowing
from the tracks.
