Elizabethan Torture Poem by Saiom Shriver

Elizabethan Torture

In the reign of Elizabeth the First
some prisoners were boiled in oil.
At the thought of that
the mind does recoil.

Children are shown now
in tv features
into boiling water
to drop living creatures

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
*
Note: In October flipping the channel
saw Chef Jeff, tv cook, inserting a whole
vat of living crawfish (crayfish) , teaching
children how to become psychopaths, as
have numerous chefs on PBS. This is one of
many causes of violence

Shellfish, because of their higher rates of
food poisoning and anaphylactic shock,
are forbidden food to observant Jews, not
for ethical but health reasons. Shellfish
are coprophagous, eating the waste of
others.
