Elixir (Poem/Song)

Verse 1:

Once upon a lifetime
I had a dream come true,
an eternity in a moment
Like back when I met you

I knew we'd be together
I knew you'd be the one
Yet I can't imagine
How I let all be undone

Chorus:

"Our love was perfect
Our love was true
Forever in a moment
Was what I had with you

Our love lit the heavens
Like the stars light the sky
I knew you meant so much to me
The moment I looked in your eyes"

Verse 2:

Our life was a story
We had our own fairytale
We made our own universe
We set the course we sailed

We had a rough patch going
A stumbling block or two
But I know I've never been so happy
Except when I'm with you

Chorus:

""Our love was perfect
Our love was true
Forever in a moment
Was what I had with you

Our love lit the heavens
Like the stars light the sky
I knew you meant so much to me
The moment I looked in your eyes"

Verse: 3

So here we are again
Back the way were
Back like when we first met
and you hadn't met her

I don't know what happens now
What goes on from here?
But I know our happy ending
Has yet to disappear

Very nice, for a love song. I'm not really that kinda person, but hey, an author is a person who expresses whatever they darn right should and want to. Let your life be full of good desitions and write whatever you feel like, because when you write, its your words and nobody else's. Dont let anyone else tell you otherwise. I currently am in the midst of writing two different books and I love reading, so I should know. Seeing that you have written much more than I have, (or at least poetry) then I know you are very experienced. (Report) Reply

You washed away by the memory of the past, the sweetness and feel the losing for all of that..it really craved in your hand here, very well such a melancholy song but it would be nice to sing though :) write more_Unwritten Soul (Report) Reply

O World! O Life! O Time!
On whose last steps I climb,

When will return the glory of your prime?
No more -Oh, never more!
