Eli (From The Movie Let The Right One In) Poem by Alexander Foald

Eli (From The Movie Let The Right One In)

The snow outside the window
Calling out my name, laughing at my age
While at the front door of my enclosed heart
He’s knocking upon the fate which let us met

Ambivalent attraction, this world has for me
Whether it’s addictively taking me in,
Or just jokingly bullying my taste for life
I can’t find on it any special mention of regard

And there is this man, weak willed and lifeless
Watching me as I’m thrown out of the life cycle
I don’t know what makes this heart beat and rush again
But now I can see with whom I’ll go to spend this ageless time
