Eleven Poem by Kevin Moore

Eleven

It’s late at night and I sit
alone out on the porch
smoking and staring
at the trees
draped in spoiled moonlight
late mist or twisting smoke
caught by one or two leaves
still hanging on and
waiting to fall as if
they, too, were
already dead.
