Elegy For Lost Friendship Poem by Odhiambo Gilbert Francis

Elegy For Lost Friendship

Rating: 5.0

You appeared, suddenly.
We exchanged fast notes
as if time would stop,
a chance would be lost.

Then you were gone,
leaving no sign of where you went,
why you left,
or if you'd return.

It's been a while now,
and I've got this feeling:
I remember so little,
Yet I wonder why I miss you so.

The heart is a boundless sea,
Seeking its own bliss.

It's amazing how one easily connects with a well composed art of literature. It's like reading my mind written by another!
