Elegy For A Non-Existant Twin Poem by Andrew Hamm

Elegy For A Non-Existant Twin

Alas, you didn’t exist
As I thought you had
Mournful are my emotions
Because this just ain’t rad

It isn’t fair, it just ain’t fair
That you were never born
Unlike me, who has that luxury
And for whom sadness is in store

You never were, you never were
A real life person when
I thought you were, I thought you were
As beautiful as a wren

So, alas, my sorrows deepen
I mourn your death indeed
Even though it didn’t happen
I mourn your passing, Greggy.
