Elegant Show Stopper Poem by Noorie Ali

Elegant Show Stopper

Im’a elegant show-stopper
I’d break those bones if you were to be ungrateful
I'm the ultimate mime, I plunge out time for you
I do the chores you left undone
I tie the ropes, you stay unknown
I be behind your eyes, the torch in you

If the tale be told then you’d deny all
Ripping up pages that told truth
Disguising the ink so the verses look blank

Defending your spine you tell up lies
Marking all your deeds next to the devil
You show your solitude

Your cradle snapped ashamed by your doing
Fooling others till you mock your own
You’re shameless and your story told
How your quilt has finally turned on you

Im’a elegant show-stopper
You should have know
