Election Year Poem by Donal Mahoney

Election Year

It doesn't matter who wins.
Life will go on as it has
in previous years

when others have won
and have taken charge.
Nothing will change

for the swine.
They will be driven
by demons again

down the embankment
grunting and shrieking
into the sea.
