Election Day Poem by William Carlos Williams

Election Day

Rating: 2.8

Warm sun, quiet air
an old man sits

in the doorway of
a broken house--

boards for windows
plaster falling

from between the stones
and strokes the head

of a spotted dog

Very poignant poem in a reportage style but the title is somewhat out of place. Thanks.
