Eggnog, Toys And Santa Claus Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Eggnog, Toys And Santa Claus

Rating: 3.5

Eggnog Toys and Santa Claus

I drank so much eggnog
That I felt so filled
Filled with the joy of
Christmas here.

That tree with the ornaments
The colors that filled my eyes
And Santa Claus coming down the chimney
How come his clothes are never soot-ed?

I felt that the green and red Christmas cookies
Matched the eggnog good
And Santa Claus' suit too.
He said 'ho, ho, ho' to me and only to me.

Santa Claus was only mine.
He brought me toys in good time
He greeted me so brightly so,
As bright as the white, cold snow.
