Egg Poem by Olufayo Ezekiel

Egg

The origin of creatures,
a generation unborn,
dwelling in the spirit world.
A fragile being in man's hand,
waiting! to creep into life,
oval, like my world,
when viewed.
A myth in a woman's womb,
sacred symbol of life,
overtime it will crack.
like the sun,
it brings the rays of hope.
Either rotten or good,
a leader or a slave,
do not murder!
let it run the circle of life!
it's an epitome
of what our future hold.
