Edwin's Pilar Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Edwin's Pilar

The wind softly sweeps beneath the heels of everyone's feet
The light
lukewarm to the emotions of the moans and scatts heard throughout the joint
Bright reds changing to dark blues mixing purple to teal
His eyes connected with hers as that ol' guitar string hummed
Love was felt
Beyond that of any meaning felt
man to woman
Bodies jook to the music their
souls made
Heat created from the movements their bodies acted out dark bright dresses camouflaged intentions
Lead to slient torture
pain
Moans that cried for release as euphoria was soon to be reached
As their bodies acted out their souls every whim for each others heart
Their eyes danced across the sounds that salty horn would play
A dull brass that traced the insides of their hands
Anxious
needing each other perhaps more than they both knew
Their eyes reached for each others touch
She became the world he never knew existed
Cigerette smoke tinted the blurry lights as shot glasses slammed against the bar
A new religion was found in her arms
A new taste wet the senses
blending silk skin with a reason to live
A new taste wet the senses
As the smallest thing beget the whole world to this one young man
