Echoes Of My Mind Poem by Audrey Heller

In the echoes of my mind, I hear you,
call out my name. It's then I turn to
look, but it's slowly engulfed, in a
flame. There's a shadow surrounding
me and when I try to look, it's not there!
For some unknown reason, it vanishes
in mid air. Strange how this illusion will
come and go, yet I manage to see! It's
as if your spirit, is trying, to get close to
me! If this be true, then I'm not afraid and
long to hold you tight, even though I know,
it can disappear, into the night!
