Echo Poem by Govind Ramakrishnan

Echo

Bearing Hera's curse
She could only
Repeat
The last words
That she'd just heard

As Narcissus' rejection,
Becomes
The final nail
In her coffin,

Embracing
Death
She leaves her
Own voice behind

Echo!
My heart is with you!

Shunned by love
You remain
Immortal
As the hidden mirror of sound

Amazing free verse and so rich with color and emotion. I just loved the ending, Shunned by love, you remain Immortal as the hidden mirror of sound. So will this poem be- immortal.
