Eavesdropping Poem by Suburban Lovechild

Eavesdropping

part 1

That's what I said, I mean like why bother.
Unless of course he's willing to pay for everything, and I mean everything.
That is what it's about, right?
Damn straight, sister.
What happened to love, just for the sake of love?
It got evicted when it couldn't pay the rent.
But, there must be some happy medium.
Yeah, me, wearing my medium halter top and my bling-bling.
Damn straight, sister.

part 2

Are you alright?
I guess, I've been worse, all things considered.
But, how? I mean, you don't even...
It wasn't mine.
Then, shouldn't the rightful owner step up and claim the prize?
Too many playas.
Oh, so it's like a time-share thing.
Yeah, and, I was lucky enough to have checked in last.
Dude, she's a fucking liar.
I know, but I'll handle it, it'll go away quickly.
How?
How do you think?

part 3

Mmm, nice.
Turns colors, too.
Really? Show me.
Hold on, let me warm it up a bit.
Well, not too hot, I hope.
Ok. There. See?
Wow, can I do that?
It's at your service.
Well, then come here and please me.
Easy there, you might scare it away.
(Looks down) Not from what I can tell.
