Easier Said Than Done Poem by Gwendolyn Anderson

Easier Said Than Done

When will we learn
that age old saying
you catch more bees with
sugar, syrup, oh yea
Honey
easier said than done

Words should be kind,
sweet and gentle
even when mad
Unable to retract
once said,
No erase or acceptable apology
suffice

Nothing takes away the pain,
anger, shame or strife
Please, pause before speaking,
It's the only time your tongue
can leave you defeated

Expressing yourself can be
A double edge sword
So please
Stop and think
before you start to unload
