Earth Poem by GAUTHAM LONGMAN

Earth

Earth

Tear on the back
Scar on the face.
What do we lack
In this now-godforsaken place?

Once a lush of green
And overflowing streams.
All that we've seen
Will soon become a dream.

With guns and bombs,
With tanks and jets
We built these tombs.
This we'll soon regret.

This hacking and sacking,
This doom and gloom,
Our Earth will be cracking,
Not later but soon.
