Early Works - Midnight Journey With My Love Poem by David Harris

Early Works - Midnight Journey With My Love

As the big red ball
from the sky does fall
and evening does call,
I take a journey with my love
on a starlit bay
with a view of the Milky Way.
Brushing our fingers through the water
and listen as someone serenades
while a million violins
seem to play in the wind
as I take a journey,
a midnight journey with my love.
The leaves from the trees
fall gently on the water
as the golden moon
throws a cascade of colour
upon the bay
as I take a journey,
a midnight journey with my love.

Authors note:
This I think was written in the late 1960s. I wrote many pieces then with a great number of rhymes in them.
