Each Time Is Not Its Own Time Alone Poem by Shalom Freedman

Each Time Is Not Its Own Time Alone

EACH TIME IS NOT ITS OWN TIME ALONE

Each time is not its own Time alone
But contains within it
All the Contradictions
Other times may bring it.

Here I am tired in the morning
Beginning my day with weak lines
Who knows when in the course of the day
I will come alive
Perhaps I have just now
And writing these lines
Proof
Of my real
Poetic Existence.
