Dying Light Poem by Marthinus Carstens

Dying Light

I stare at the vast darkness.
My light about to fail.

I tried so hard to shine
But my energy was frail.

I was a light a beacon of hope
For everyone but me

Now I'm done, now I'm gone
My light seized to be.

I'm fading slowly, my light becoming weak.
All was save but me.

No more warmth
No more love
No more pain
No more... no more...

My light is gone, so am i.

I pray they cared
I pray they remembered
That that light that died was me

My light is gone but not my soul
I was their light but no more...
