Dying From Numbness Poem by Michelle Dominique Augustyn

Dying From Numbness

To feel no numbness no more
I need my blood to flow
To heart no thing with no core
I wish for a savior, a hero

My life dangles by a thread
The cure is so easy to sew
Loneliness to come, I dread
I can't leave, I can't go

To feel nothing now
I need a heart beat
To find myself, How?
I wish for a life without defeat

My conscience tells me left
The current guides me right
Loneliness is a god of theft
I can't sleep, not tonight

To hear is deceiving
I strive for success
To fail is believing
I wished for a soul, now I digress

My mouth hides my smile
It's calling fades
Loneliness for a while
I can't feel joy, just jade

To feel no numbness no more
I need my blood to heat
To heart is a pumping core
I will find a savior, my hero

In the first line, I think it would sound better if you took out the first no, so it would be 'To feel numbness no more, ' and the 3rd lines of the 1st and last stanza are a bit wonky... So you could fix that. But remember, poetry is an expression of yourself, so if you think it sounds better the way you have it, and meant it to be that way, then do not change it! The idea for this poem is great, and it flows really nicely. Overall, good job!
