Dying Days Poem by Kevin Patrick

Dying Days

Let's raise a glass to peace and love
There buried to a golden age
This is the time of hate and fear
When tyrants rule the public stage

Blow a candle out on justice
When greed exceeds equality
Wheres the virtues of peace on earth
When its now private property

Say goodbye to the rights of man
As everything's held by the few
What good is the power of fact
When lies are fitted to fool truth

lamps of the world are going out
A horseman is coming around
The Black flowers are still falling
On shadows of Septembers ground

And dark days are rising
To the serpents devising
Comes the warning lightning
We prey to our dying

Let this is our judgment:
For these are our dying days
