Dying Alone In The Night Poem by Kayla Duf

Dying Alone In The Night

Here I am, lying in the road,
What is happening, what is going on,
Why I see fire to the right,
I hear sirens far off, coming closer,
Then I feel myself being picked off the ground,
I feel the vehicel start away,
I see a bright light,
I see my grandpa,
He's calling to me, telling me to come,
I say I am, but the light its so far away,
I hear a familar voice say, stay away from the light,
But my Grandpa, hes calling to me,
He's healthly, has his legs,
I run to him,
The light goes out, I'm gone,
I died alone in the night.

This is a very creative piece. I like the way you structured the ending. It was a bit surprising and that doesn't happen often. A fine job young lady. GW62
