Dwelling Place Poem by RAJ NANDY

Dwelling Place

DWELLING PLACE

When I had searched for a flat,
A dwelling place to reside,
I had always know in my subconscious
mind,
That I was actually looking for a place,
For my final peaceful rest!
And in the meanwhile, to make it my
home,
I have placed those furniture and artifacts,
and decor of choice,
Filling-up those vacant places -
With my prayers and poet's thoughts,
For my need, comfort, satisfaction
and solace!
I have even placed a name plate of brass,
Which I polish once in a way;
Along with decorative plants in pots
outside;
To loudly proclaim, -
That I had once passed through this
way!
