Duty Bound Poem by Amber Luna

Duty Bound

pealed away from where he lay
the clouds bore down with malice.
tears collide where death resides
and so he tips the balance.
the hands so small the eyes so wide
that he thought he had the time to bide,
he did not expect what came to pass,
oh, how the pain was made to last.
behind that light, within that flower
there there lay some depth of power.
the day had come for him to regret
the day he treated her as his pet.
and sure enough that little girl
had come to him with a pearl
with death it gleamed
and so it seemed
the time had come
for it to be done.
.for her to kill him gently.
