Dutiful Wife Poem by Derek Threadgill

Dutiful Wife

Some people think that love is what they got
But I can tell you no it's not
Give me an evening give me a night
I won't be deciving we won't have a fight
A woman needs to feel she's wanted
Not just a maid, a cook, a domestic
I given my love in all the wrong places
Not shown my airs not shown my graces
None of the women could give me there life
They all went back to being the dutiful wife
Now don't get me wrong of this I'm not sad
It's what the woman wants that makes me feel glad
They get what they want a nice bit of caring
Then go back to the husband no longer for sharing
