Dusk In The Sky Poem by Abhay Vignesh Liginlal

Dusk In The Sky

Rating: 5.0

Whenever I look at the sky of my memories
I see the radiance of a fading twilight,
Remember the sunny morns and temperate eves
They have long since diminished like youth
Lost at the portal of time,
When I fell in love with life it was too late;

Then there was no time to listen to the music of life’s duties;
As I reveled under the spell and stupor of the wine of youth,
Passing fancies filled with the colours on the wings of a butterfly;

My foresight was blinded by flashes of loves ecstasy
By the rustle of leaves and blooming of flowers
By the play of ripples and the shimmering of light,
On the surface of an ethereal life;

The wheel is set to spin all over again now
I am about to wake up in this world again
To live the dream of life outside my mothers womb
In an unknown land speaking some foreign language
Faraway from another life I will love as abstract art
Do not ask me what it means for I will be another reader.
