Dull Routine Poem by Edwina Reizer

Dull Routine

Must I wait for weather fair
to use a comb and fix my hair?
Or rather when the rain does fall
not use a brush or comb at all?
I, for one shampoo each day
no matter the weather, come what may
I will not leave it in disarray.

So up it is for this tiresome routine.
Better to prepare for the unseen.
For I never know who might stop by
whether it's raining or it's dry.
So the weather doesn't dictate this chore.
The sun can shine or rain can pour
It's just that I hate this job anymore.
