Drugs And Alcohol Poem by Bhekisipho Nyathi

Drugs And Alcohol

Drugs and alcohol abuse

I refuse to believe in drugs
I refuse to believe that drugs make us strong
I refuse to believe that drugs increase our thinking capacity
I refuse to believe that drugs increase our concentration
I,ladies and gentleman, refuse to believe!

I refuse to believe in alcohol abuse
I refuse to believe that alcohol solves problems in any way
I refuse to believe that alcohol brings or increases joy
I, would like to refuse.

Just like a car that is manufactured to carry only a tonne can actually carry more and travel for the whole day, so do drugs do to our precious bodies
It makes it work and perform tasks way beyond its normal capacity
Drugs do not increase our thinking capacity!
Drugsarea " personality"
They make our brains shuffle
Hence the drunkard does before thinking and thinks after doing.
Drugs do not increase our concentration but it totally shuts down our reasoning system thereby making everything so new!
When everything has been been! made anew, its easy to focus in the mean time because the brain is learning something new!

That's why drug stricken people can stare at a stationery car for a good 20 mins, the bran is actually learning something that it "has never seen! "

I refuse to believe that alcohol solves problems in any way
It shuts down the "good chambers " of our brain
It makes you forget ONLY the important things, values and virtues that make us human and brings to lifethe creativity of the subconscious mind
It brings courage to do that which we know is evil but have always admired it anyway.
It removes humanly behavior and shame

I refuse to believe in drugs, I refuse to believe in alcohol
Don't blame alcohol for being violent_ why doesn't the same alcohol lead you to army barracks to beat a soldier?
