Drowning - Poem by Benjamin Michael Clark

You're drowning
Right before
My eyes
As I extend
My hand
& Try to
Save you from
The treacherous
Tide crashing
Around you-
I get a hold
of your hand-
Pull you aboard-
Then I slip-
I fall into
The ocean-
Sink to the depths
of my demise
While the haunting
Memory
of your hero
Has commenced
