Drowning Poem by Emma Litchfield

Drowning

Im in a box
Water starts to gather around my ankles
I pound the glass
Its now at my waist
I scream, pound and kick
Its at my chest
I pound, and pound, and pound
Its now at my neck
I gasp for air
It is over my head now
The box is gone but now im in the sea
My lungs scream for air
But my legs wont move
My vision blurs
Then
I wake up panting cold sweat running down my face
It was all a dream
