Drowned In Nues Poem by Addy Adenawo

Drowned In Nues

There is a secret fountain in Neus
Which only the seeker can find
More intoxicating than the finest brew
I found with eyes closed and heart opened wide

With a pull more magnetic
Than the romance of birds and flowers
The dance of sky and sea
An haven in the parched Sahara

When did this ache become a need?
A need to be immersed in the warm embrace
Of a fellow needy, taking without greed
Savoring the fulfillment we both crave

To get drunk in this yearning is what I breath
And drown in the current of your kiss
