Drip, Drip... Poem by Tiffany Rose Moczydlowski

Drip, Drip...

Rating: 2.8

Drip, drip...
The steady sound of rain
Sliding down the window pane
Drip, drip...
The sound slowly decreases
As the cloud's tears disappear
Drip, drip...
What's this?
That is not the rain...
Drip, drip...
My own tears slide down my face
As I recall that painful day...

So much blood...
There's no way you could care
If you could choose to cause all this fear
So much blood...
Red hands impale upon me
Making me fall, bruised, to your feet
So much blood...
The harsh beating of the rain
On the roof sounds so tame
(Compared to this)

No, no...
You said you'd never betray my heart
But you stood there tearing it apart
No, no...
Sorry didn't, doesn't, cut it
Not after all the pain you inflict
No, no...
The worst part is that I believed you
Making me hate
The sound of rain...

Drip, drip...

I think you separated the stanzas really well, and I like how you can tell it was written in the moment, just is all the emotion poured forth in the only way you could relate it.
