Driftwood Poem by Jean Dament

Driftwood

Like driftwood tossed about at sea,
In life our lost & wayward ways lead us astray;
As we aimlessly wander you & me;
Where waves restrain & alienate us further away,
We'll try to gain hold to get back to shore,
But we're left like a message in a bottle...endlessly just adrift,
With noone to retrieve...evermore,
Feeling hopeless & needing a lift,
But in time the waters still for us to take hold;
Where we'll find our way back home,
If we gather strength & be bold,
To swim through troubled waters beyond the unknown.

Spiritsong,
