Drift

Catch my drift,
The air that seeped through,
That pale cold breeze you feel inside of you.

I say I'm fine,
That I'm okay,
But you know my lies

Just like you and me,
We act like it's all going to be okay,
But we both know at the end of the day,
You and I we just lost it all,
Oh so long ago.

Now it's time to move on,
No more hurt and heartache,
Just peace at mind.

A melody plays,
We sing along,
As we go our separate ways.

Poem of the Day

poet Ralph Waldo Emerson

Knows he who tills this lonely field
To reap its scanty corn,
What mystic fruit his acres yield
At midnight and at morn?

In the long sunny afternoon,
