Dreary Night Poem by ERNEST CLARY

Dreary Night

On this dreary night
icy and cold
life's a fight
I'm growing old

seeing my daughter cry
hurts me inside
some loser guy
all he did was lied

perhaps another will come
honest and upright
not a bum
a ray of light

pray pray to heaven above
hear my chant
bring her love
something I cant

Dear Earnest: I fully understand the emotion behind this poem. Daughters rarely understand the amount of fear and apprehension that lurks behind the calmly or jovially expressed love of a father for his daughter.
