DREAMS NEVER DIE

Dreams never die,
It is always destined for re-birth
In the human mind!
Nurtured by the human heart,
Shaped and caressed by
Our hopes and aspirations;
Driving us steadily,
Toward a goal for realization,
Where sky is the limit!

Every individual has his dreams,
And so does each civilization
And every nation.
For with the disappearance of a
Civilization we often see,
A dream ends, but never ceases to be!
It awaits only to take re-birth,
With the next civilization flourishing
On this earth!

Dreams give life an unique distinction,
A direction, and a goal, -
Something to strive for,
Something to die for!
Dreams keep us afloat like the
Buoy in a stormy sea, -
Giving us both location and direction;
Showing us where we are,
And where we should be.
Dreams prevent us from being declared
Lost, or missing, in life’s field of action!

Dreams have often been misunderstood
As mere symbols of suppressed yearnings
Of the subconscious mind; -
An explanation which seems rather
unkind!
It is not merely a route for escaping
momentarily,
For dreams have been the mainstay
of all our Visionaries!
Should mankind ever cease to dream,
We will become like a bird with a broken wing,
Which only hops and hops,
And can never attain flight,
Nor reach out for the clear blue sky!
