Dreams And Reality Poem by Morose Mermaid

Dreams And Reality

Rating: 4.0

Would you please give me a place to hide?
Even my eyes are getting tired of being wet
I want them to be dried off.

The smoggy leaves of the trees tell the tales of this city
But I am thinking of you;
I am so into you;
Would you please unmask yourself?

Standing like a mannequin;
Dreams are playing hide and seek with me
How can I sleep and dream of you?

Take the chance if you get
The city will punish me instead
I am a sinner so all are;
But you are unable to understand
As you have never done any.

I wanna live so I walk alone;
And calling you in my loneliness
Can’t you hear me?
Can’t you hear me for once?
Can’t you be mine for once?
Oh dear Lord!
Can’t you be human for once! !

An apt title and a stark note. In between, a soliloquy and some questions. Nice poem.
