Dreams Poem by David Pass

Dreams

In my dreams I could swim deep and fly high
Unfettered by the bonds of reality.
I could harness nuclear fusion and try
To use it's clean power in every city.

Cars powered on hydrogen, burning to water.
The only waste -helium, gas for balloons.
Good health for all, each son and each daughter.
Food for everyone with knives, forks and spoons.

Control the weather, water the desert.
The whole of Africa luscious and green.
Tsetse flies and locusts dead in the dirt.
Hurt, murder and warfare no longer seen.

I wake and see that advance as vision.
But man is sinful, how can we be true?
Evil pervades all, and it we must shun.
Only by God's grace can the good shine through.
