Dreams Poem by Jorge Rolon

Dreams

You are like a book that's hard to read
A sudden turn as you follow the lead
Like a broken love story
A broken dream that became history
But don't give up and don't give in
follow your dreams and you will win

You dream of the big city
Where the night lights are pretty
The people are always in a hurry
In the morning the nights are blurry
The rent is high for a small place
The city is fueled by an ambitious race
Everyone desires to become the best
Even if it means showing a little chest

Your dream home awaits
For you and your amazing traits
Your heart seeks the east coast
So for you we raise a toast
We just hope you make it
And when love comes
I just hope you take it

Broken dreams are not as broken as they seem
But the worst ones are ones never dared to dream
