Dreams Poem by Humna Hamid

Dreams

Through the misty swirls of broken thoughts
I passed the waterfalls you named unshed tears
And saw the single ray of hope
Piercing through the shadows of dark
I walk through dreams that are still yours
Fear not, for I tread softly still

Through the fantasy in your mind
I slayed the monster you named hate
With the sword of eternal light
Forged in the fires of pure love
I walk through dreams that are still yours
Fear not, for I tread softly still

Through the kaleidoscope of feelings
I saw the colors you named emotions
Mysterious black of unknown depth
And piercing blue of tranquility
I walk through dreams that are still yours
Fear not, for I tread softly still

Through the plush grass of emerald green
I ran through the field that you named peace
And heard the distant roar of freedom
Followed by the hush of calm
I walk through dreams that are still yours
Fear not, for I tread softly still
