As a teacher and parent, I have watched many kids learn that DRUGS DESTROY DREAMS. I just re-read this poem and interpreted the last word in a whole new way. 'Snow' is a slang term for cocaine, heroine and amphetamines. Teen drug addicts essentially 'freeze' their brains in their development. In other words, if they start using at 16, their brains remain the like that of a 16-year old. Their 'field' of life, once full of potential for harvesting, become barren and frozen. (Report) Reply
