'Dreams' in its first reading it may mean nothing to majority of people but after reading Langston Hughes' poem 'Dreams' we feel greatness. Personally, I do agree with him, to dreamis to make it true situation, realize our hopes and wishes it shows that nothing is impossible in our life without dreams nothing will happen and nothing will exist. So, you should dream and keep on dreaming and cling on it, your soul will be enriched with hopes and the belief that we can have and can do every thing.Keep dreaming to be alive. This poem has universal significance. Each one can live this poem from anywhere and any time.Dreams are different but if you take them all it is the same.I say to someone who do not believe in dreams he is hopeless and in danger which means the bird does not fly. (Report) Reply

In this poem, Laugston Hughes used a simple style but with eloquent and deep meaning.I think it is the essence of creativity and greatness.Really, the poem gives me a powerful energy to keep dreaming only because with dreams you can reach your goals in life, as the proverb says: 'Everyone who is successful must have dreamed for something' (Report) Reply

Actually, it is so special poem because its deep meaning is expressed through few words. It encourages any one who read it not only to dream but also to never give up dreaming and never surrend to whatever the troubles are in life.I really share Hughes and all my frinds' opinion about life without dreaming has no meaning. In fact, I am with Langston Hughes view of 'dream' and its importance.Indeed, when we keep dreaming on something we want and desre in our life, we'll be stronger and more ambitious to realize that dream and whatever the obstacles and all the hard times that may face us, we have to overcome and go forward and never give up, surrender or go backward. Dream is my best way to go onour life (Report) Reply

Hi, I find this poem the best one among those I've read, because it is the one which touch sentiments and the psychological side. Additionally, it is the one I find peace and just soft words as bird. The linkage between dreams and fly is very beautiful to encourage people to dream. Thank you (Report) Reply

    Salame!
When I read the comments of my mates, one by one and name by name, especially the names of the last fourth year students, I understood that the aim of these comments is not just to comment. It was done consciously or not that doesn’t matter, what is important is that these little names of the students are marked here as long as this space exists. May be one day some one will say, “ Oh may God! This is the name of my father or mother…, why not my teacher...”
Langston wrote about dreams, using little words and few sentences, giving hope to those facing their harsh times, and burning a candle in the darkness of their life. The dream is the water we drink to survive, the medicine we get to cure and the future we want to rich. If we look far we go far but, if we stick looking under our feet we will end and no one will know that we existed.
I came late to comment but, it was an opportunity for me.
Thanks sir! As long as our names are written here! (Report) Reply

'Dreams' by L.Hughes is really the first poem that I find it profoundly impressing this effect is made by the fact that it makes as looking straight forward to our aims and at same time it provides us with the needed strength to make those dreams come true (Report) Reply

    Hi to everybody:
This poem contains a meaning that everybody needs. It means strength, when there is pain.light when there is darkness and hope that we all should have.A hard experience doesn't mean to give up and lose ourselves.A dream comes each morning and each night(each moment) .whenever we think, it is a dream and whenever we live, there is a dream (Report) Reply
