In my dreams you seem so clear
But when I wake you are not so near
The world feels empty during the day
Why can't you stay?
At night I feel free
Free to be me
At sunrise I retreat into my shell
Here is my private hell
Where I wait until sundown
For you to come around
And take me into my dreams
Here is where my light beams
And you reside forever
There is a way for us to be together
Where I can dream all the time
Some would consider it a crime
I consider it the only way
You can stay
Is this love?
Wait I see the dove
There is no pain
For only you and I remain.
