Dreaming Poem by Thirteen Tears

Dreaming

Rating: 4.5

When I dream i'm free
Awake I am in prison
In dreams anything can happen
Awake my blood is always crimson
In dreams you smile at me
Instead of pretending i'm not there
In my dreams I get a chance
In my dreams, you care
Awake I stick to the ground
Asleep I can fly
Awake it never happens
In dreams i can die
My living life is boring
Repetitious and inane
But in my dreams who knows
Maybe I'm insane
Leave me for dead
You don't care if I die
I'd rather live in shadows
Where together we fly
My night is always better
Than the day before
Of my dreams I wish to have
More and more and more
The sky could be purple
I could be hanging from a noose
You could say you love me
And then turn me loose
I can live where-ever
Breathe under sea
Live in four dimensions
Or turn into a tree
In dreams I'm free
Awake I'm caged
I'd rather dream than live my life
Where everything is staged.
